§ 22-155. Amounts.

  • The following license fees and conditions for operation inside the limits for the specific business listed in this section in addition to those provisions and fees previously cited are hereby established. There is an additional annual $100.00 non-refundable application fee for all alcohol licenses.

    (1)

    Malt beverages, sale of, at wholesale, except as provided in O.C.G.A. § 3-5-43, $200.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (2)

    Malt beverages sales at retail consumption on premises, $250.00 and for sale at retail packed to go, $250.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (3)

    Wine, sale of, at wholesale, $200.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (4)

    Wine, sale at retail consumption on premises, $250.00 and for sale at retail packaged to go, $250.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (5)

    Distilled, spirits, package sales at retail, $2,750.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (6)

    Distilled spirits, manufacture of, $5,000.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (7)

    Distilled spirits, sale of, at wholesale, $5,000.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (8)

    Distilled spirits, sale of, for consumption on the premises, $2,000.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    a.

    All consumption on the premises licensees who engage in Sunday sales as permitted under subsection 6-185(b) shall pay, in addition to the above fees, an annual fee of $400.00. Applications must be approved by the council annually before the license is granted.

    (9)

    Amusement machines (any coin-operated machine for amusement purposes only, such as pinball machines, target machines or any other similar amusement device not to be used for gambling purposes), per machine, $50.00. Requires appropriate application and prior approval annually by the city manager or council before license is granted.

    (10)

    Billiard tables (any device using any number of balls employed in any billiard game):

    a.

    First two tables, $150.00.

    b.

    Each additional table, $50.00.

    Requires appropriate application and prior approval annually by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (11)

    Bowling alleys (any business which houses bowling alleys used for amusement purposes).

    a.

    First alley, $50.00.

    b.

    Each additional alley, $15.00.

    Requires appropriate application and prior approval annually by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (12)

    Carnivals, $500.00 per week. Requires appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (13)

    Music machines, $25.00. Requires appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (14)

    Photographers (individuals making photographs or pictures not having a regular studio located in the city limits), $150.00. Requires appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (15)

    Canvassing (opinion surveys), $2,500.00. Requires appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (16)

    Clairvoyant, fortuneteller, phrenologist or reader in Spiritualism, $2,000.00. Requires appropriate application and prior approval annually by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (17)

    Transient vendor (those who have no permanent or regular place of business within the corporate limits of the city, and who solicit, take orders, peddle or sell articles, goods or merchandise of any kind, regardless of whether such activity is done from house to house, temporary stand, or automobile, truck or other mode of transportation; provided however that transient vendor shall not include those who sell perishable products from farms, gardens or orchards pursuant to and in accordance with subsection (19)). No transient vendor, shall sell any article in the city without having first made an application for a license to do business, which application shall recite the name of the vendor, the name of his agent conducting the sale, if any; the place where the sale is to be conducted; the hours of sale; and the number of days during which the sale is to be conducted. There shall be appended to the application a complete and accurate list of the articles to be sold, which list shall be signed by the person seeking the license and which list shall also reflect the wholesale price of the articles to be sold. The inventory shall be verified upon oath by the applicant. The application and inventory shall be accompanied by a good and sufficient bond in the penal amount of $7,500.00, payable to the city and conditioned to pay to the city or any person suing in its name for their use for injuries or damages arising from dishonest or fraudulent conduct in the administration of the business so licensed. Upon filing of the application and inventory and payment of license fee, such application shall be submitted to the council for approval. Upon approval of such application by the city manager or council and upon providing good and sufficient bond in the amount stated in this section the clerk shall be authorized to issue a license. The fee for the license required by this section shall be $100.00 per day.

    (18)

    Vaudeville and stage shows:

    a.

    First performance, $100.00.

    b.

    Each additional show, $25.00.

    Requires appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council before the license is granted.

    (19)

    Perishable products vendors (those who sell perishable products from farms, gardens or orchards at retail who do not have a permanent or fixed place of business). Perishable products vendors, shall at all times comply with all sanitary and health regulations of the city, county and state, as well as police and fire regulations. The fee for such license shall be $100.00, provided however that the licensee fee for persons who grow their own products for sale within the corporate limits of the city shall be $25.00. An appropriate application and prior approval by the city manager or council are required before the license is granted by the clerk.

    (20)

    One-day special events, $50.00 per event in addition to:

    a.

    Non-profit.

    1.

    Beer and wine, $50.00 per day per event per single location.

    2.

    Distilled spirits, $50.00 per day per event per single location.

    b.

    For-profit.

    1.

    Beer and wine, $100.00 per day per event per single location.

    2.

    Distilled spirits, $100.00 per day per event per single location.
