§ 2-134. Check signature policy.

  • (a)

    Generally.

    (1)

    The mayor or the mayor pro tempore;

    (2)

    The clerk and treasurer or deputy clerk and treasurer or the senior member of council; and

    (3)

    The city manager;

    are hereby authorized to sign all checks, notes, bills or drafts on behalf of the council on all city demand deposit checking accounts, with the exception of the accounts mentioned in this section.

    (b)

    Payroll. The clerk and treasurer or deputy clerk and treasurer and the city manager are hereby authorized to sign all checks, notes, bills or drafts on behalf of the city on the payroll account.

    (c)

    Facsimile. An authorized facsimile may be used for the signatures of the mayor, the mayor pro tempore and the city manager.
