§ 86-45. Automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles and skateboards on sidewalks.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, ride, park or lay down any automobile, motorcycle, bicycle or skateboard upon the sidewalks on the streets listed in this section with the exception of any merchant who has bicycles or skateboards for sale:

    (1)

    Clark Street, between Greene Street and Montgomery Street.

    (2)

    Liberty Street, between Greene Street and Hancock Street.

    (3)

    Wilkinson Street, between Greene Street and Montgomery Street.

    (4)

    Wayne Street, between Greene Street and Montgomery Street.

    (5)

    Jefferson Street, between Greene Street and Montgomery Street.

    (6)

    Greene Street, between Jefferson Street and Clark Street.

    (7)

    Hancock Street, between Jefferson Street and Clark Street.

    (8)

    McIntosh Street, between Jefferson Street and Wilkinson Street.

    (9)

    Montgomery Street, between Jefferson Street and Clark Street.

    (b)

    It shall be the duty of the police department to enforce the provisions of this section.

    (c)

    Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, on conviction in the municipal court, be punished in the discretion of the municipal court judge but not in excess of the provisions as provided in the Charter of the city and the acts amending the Charter and the ordinances passed thereunder.
