§ 86-144. Records.

  • (a)

    The officer impounding a vehicle under this division shall immediately report the fact of such impounding, together with any other information which will definitely identify the vehicle, to the chief of police, who shall cause a permanent record to be made thereof, a copy of which will be filed with the clerk and treasurer.

    (b)

    The record kept by the chief of police of all vehicles committed to the pound shall include the names and addresses of the owners of the vehicles, the numbers of their state license tags and the nature and circumstances of each violation, as well as the disposition of each case, and shall account for all fees collected under this division. The chief of police shall pay the fees in to the city treasury, taking a receipt therefor.
