§ 31. Certification of tally-sheets.

  • Immediately after the polls are closed said managers shall count the ballots cast, and after the ballots have been counted the tally-sheets and lists of voters shall be certified in writing by said managers in the following language, to wit: We do certify that the foregoing pages constitute the tally-sheets (or lists of voters, as the case may be) of an election for ____________ held by us this ____________ day of ____________ and that they are an accurate and faithful record of the names and number of voters at said election. This ____________ day of ____________ .

    ____________ , Manager.

    ____________ , Manager.

    ____________ , Manager.

    The tally-sheets and lists of voters shall then be sealed up together in an envelope, delivered to the clerk of the city, and filed of record in his office. The ballots shall likewise be sealed in an envelope, delivered to the clerk and filed of record in his office.
