§ 6-2. Penalty.

Latest version.

The opening or operation for the doing of any business or vocation described in this chapter without first obtaining a written license for the doing of the business or vocation; or the violation of any rule or regulation for the control of alcoholic beverages promulgated in and by this chapter; or the assistance of another to evade or to avoid the payment of any fee or tax imposed and provided in and by this chapter; shall be an offense against the city, and upon conviction in the municipal court, shall be punished as provided by section 1-8. In addition thereto, the license of such offender may be suspended or revoked in the discretion of the council.
