§ 86-6. Speed breakers on streets.

(a)

No speed breakers, risers, rumble strips or other such structures shall be placed or maintained on any streets within the limits of the city unless authorized by proper resolution of the council. Said resolution shall identify the particular street or streets upon which the speed breakers, risers, rumble strips or other such structures shall be placed, and shall identify the specific type of structure that is being authorized for installation upon said street or streets.

(b)

Upon the installation of speed breakers, risers, rumble strips or other such structures in accordance with this section, the city shall cause to be erected proper signage and other street markings that are adequate to warn motorists of the installation of the particular speed control device authorized by this section.
